Senior Associate - Commercial Litigation (Southampton)
As part of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced 5+ PQE Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join our highly regarded Commercial Litigation Team, based in our Southampton office.

The Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Associate to join our growing Commercial Litigation team in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the team's continued growth, working on a varied and high-quality caseload while helping to further develop our presence across the region.
The successful candidate will have significant experience advising clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, with particular expertise in shareholder and director disputes, corporate and commercial disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide variety of commercial disputes, including shareholder and director disputes, corporate and commercial disputes, construction disputes, contract claims, professional negligence, and insolvency-related matters.
- Managing your own caseload of complex and high-value matters, whilst supporting partners on strategic litigation.
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence, witness evidence and court applications, and representing clients through court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser to businesses and individuals.
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking activities and the generation of new work.
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success of the wider team.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in commercial litigation, ideally gained at a respected regional or national firm.
- Strong experience in shareholder and director disputes, corporate and commercial disputes.
- Experience in construction disputes would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent technical ability, sound commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage client relationships confidently and effectively.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues across different disciplines.
