The Role:

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join Nelsons’ Wealth Management Team.  As part of the next stage in the growth of Nelsons’ Wealth Management team, we are focusing on internal development strategies to strengthen our presence across the East Midlands. We are now seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our Derby office, playing a key role in building internal connections with our established team of solicitors, driving referrals, and raising the profile of our wealth management offering in Derby. 

This is a unique opportunity for a confident and proactive adviser to work within a law firm environment, delivering truly holistic financial planning advice. While no existing client bank will be provided initially, the role includes a fixed salary, offering financial security.

You will be supported by our dedicated team of Paraplanners and Administrators based in our Nottingham office, with regular travel to Nottingham required for team meetings and collaboration.

We have built a highly compliant and robust client journey, ensuring consistency and quality across every stage of the advice process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives within structured processes, values teamwork, but also comfortable working independently. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strong internal relationships with solicitors to generate referrals
• Promote the Wealth Management team within the Derby office, wider firm and locally.
• Deliver high-quality financial planning advice to high-net-worth individuals and trustees
• Work independently while remaining connected to the wider team
• Embrace and follow established client journey processes

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in an IFA role
• Signed off as competent adviser
• Proven ability to build professional connections and drive business development
• Confidence in working independently and initiating internal engagement
• Strong attention to detail and a team-player mindset
• A client-focused approach, with an emphasis on planning over product sales
