Role Overview 

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Early Talent Manager to lead the development and delivery of a group-wide early talent strategy. This role will coordinate existing early talent processes across our six partner firms and create a unified framework that positions Lawfront firms as a premier destination for aspiring legal professionals. 

You will play a pivotal role in shaping how we attract, develop, and retain early career talent - whether they are trainees or apprentices, school leavers or graduates - ensuring Lawfront firms are recognised as places where legal careers begin and flourish. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Framework Development  

  • Design and implement a group-wide early talent framework aligned with Lawfront’s growth and values.
  • Benchmark against national and regional law firms to ensure Lawfront offers a competitive and compelling proposition. 

 

Programme Coordination 

  • Harmonise existing early talent programmes across partner firms, identifying best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support recruitment cycles for trainees, apprentices, and interns, ensuring consistency and quality across the group. 

 

Technology & Digital Engagement 

  • Leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance early talent attraction and engagement.
  • Develop a social media strategy to showcase Lawfront firms’ culture, career pathways, and success stories.
  • Explore and implement virtual work experience programmes to broaden access and build a future talent pipeline. 

 

Cohort Building & Community 

  • Create and facilitate a group-wide early talent cohort, fostering a sense of belonging and shared identity across Lawfront firms.
  • Design networking, mentoring, and social opportunities that highlight the national scale of Lawfront while celebrating the regional roots and cultures of each firm.
  • Encourage cross-firm collaboration and peer learning to enrich the early talent experience. 

 

Brand & Outreach 

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to showcase Lawfront supported firms as a top choice for early legal careers.
  • Working in partnership with local People and Culture teams, build relationships with universities, schools, and professional bodies to enhance visibility and attract diverse talent. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Partner with People and Culture team and firm leadership to align early talent initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on early talent trends, challenges, and opportunities. 

 

Continuous Improvement 

  • Monitor programme outcomes and feedback to refine and evolve the early talent offering.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in early careers and legal education. 

 

 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging 

  • Ensure all recruitment and assessment methods promote inclusion of diverse talent.
  • Work with third parties as required to ensure Early Talent attraction and recruitment strategies align with Diversity, Equity and Belonging agenda 

 

About You 

  • Proven experience in early talent, graduate recruitment, or legal education—ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to design and deliver impactful programmes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Passionate about developing future legal talent and driving innovation in early careers.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, able to influence at all levels.
  • Passionate about developing and promoting employee brand
  • Digitally savvy, with experience using technology to enhance candidate experience and engagement.
  • Skilled at building inclusive communities and fostering a sense of belonging across diverse groups.
